Higher Resources (HR)

CCPA / CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

Effective Date: March 31, 2026

This section provides disclosures required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Cal. Civ. Code §§ 1798.100–1798.199.100, and the regulations promulgated thereunder by the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA).

I. Categories of Personal Information Collected

In the preceding 12 months, Higher Resources (HR) has collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers: Name, postal address, email address, phone number, account username, IP address, device identifiers, cookie IDs
  • Personal Information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80): Name, address, telephone number, employment, financial information
  • Internet or Electronic Network Activity: Browsing history, search history, interactions with Platform, cookie data
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information: Job title, employer, industry, professional credentials
  • Inferences: Profiles drawn from collected information to reflect preferences, characteristics, or behavior
  • Sensitive Personal Information: Account login credentials; for job applicants, professional licensure status

II. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from: you directly (account registration, form submissions, purchases); automatically through use of the Platform (cookies, analytics); third-party analytics and advertising partners; and publicly available professional sources.

III. Business and Commercial Purposes for Collection

We collect personal information for: operating and improving the Platform; processing transactions; communicating with you; marketing and advertising; detecting and preventing fraud and security incidents; complying with legal obligations; and internal analytics and business improvement.

IV. Categories of Third Parties to Whom We Disclose Personal Information

  • IT and infrastructure service providers
  • Payment processors
  • Marketing and advertising networks
  • Analytics providers
  • Email service providers
  • Legal and compliance advisors
  • Social media platforms

V. Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared

In the preceding 12 months, we may have sold or shared for cross-context behavioral advertising: Identifiers (cookie IDs, device IDs); Internet or electronic network activity information. This information is shared with advertising networks and analytics providers.

We have NOT sold or shared: Social Security numbers; financial account information; precise geolocation; health information; racial or ethnic origin; or personal information of known children under 16.

VI. Your CCPA/CPRA Rights

Right to Know (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.110)

You have the right to request that we disclose: the categories of personal information we have collected about you; the categories of sources from which we collected it; our business or commercial purpose for collecting, selling, or sharing it; the categories of third parties with whom we share it; and the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.105)

You have the right to request deletion of personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., information needed to complete a transaction, detect fraud, comply with legal obligations, or exercise free speech rights).

Right to Correct (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.106)

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes for which we process it.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.120)

You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. See Policy 4 for instructions.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.121)

You have the right to direct us to limit our use of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to perform the services you request or as permitted by CPRA regulations.

Right to Non-Discrimination (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.125)

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA/CPRA rights. We will not deny services, charge higher prices, or provide a lower quality of service because you exercised your privacy rights.

Right to Know About Automated Decision-Making

Where we use automated decision-making tools (e.g., fraud detection), you have the right to know about the use of such tools and, where applicable, to opt out of their use in making significant decisions about you.

VII. How to Submit a Request

  • Include your full name, email address, and the specific right(s) you are exercising

VIII. Verification

We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Verification methods may include: matching information you provide against information in our records; for sensitive requests, requiring a signed declaration. We will not require you to create an account to submit a request.

IX. Response Timeframes

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time (up to 45 additional days), we will notify you of the reason and extension in writing.

X. Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require: written permission signed by you authorizing the agent; and/or verification of your identity directly. We may deny a request from an agent who does not submit proof of authorization.

XI. Financial Incentives

We do not currently offer financial incentives in exchange for the collection or sale of personal information.
