Your Right to Opt Out

California law gives you the right to direct Higher Resources (HR) not to sell or share your personal information with third parties. This right applies even if you are not a California resident — we honor this right for all users.

• "Sale" means disclosing your personal information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
• "Sharing" means disclosing your personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, regardless of whether money is exchanged.

What Information We May Sell or Share

In the course of operating our Platform, we may share certain categories of personal information with third parties in ways that may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under California law, including:

• Identifiers (such as cookie IDs or device identifiers)
• Internet or electronic network activity information (such as browsing behavior on our Platform)

We share this information with advertising networks, analytics providers, and social media platforms for purposes of targeted advertising and analytics.

We do NOT sell sensitive personal information, including: Social Security numbers; financial account credentials; precise geolocation; racial or ethnic origin; health information; or information from known children.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out through any of the following methods:

• Email: Send a request to info@higherresources.org with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." Include your full name, email address, and the specific platform(s) you are opting out from.
• Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor GPC signals. If your browser or device is set to broadcast a GPC signal, we will treat that as a valid opt-out request, as required by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135.
• Cookie Preference Center: Visit our Cookie Preference Center on the Platform to manage advertising and tracking cookies.

Effect of Opting Out

If you opt out: we will stop selling or sharing your personal information within 15 business days of receiving your verifiable opt-out request; we will not require you to create an account as a condition of opting out; and we will not discriminate against you for exercising this right.

Note that opting out of targeted advertising cookies may affect the personalization of content you see on the Platform and on third-party platforms. You may still see non-personalized advertising.

Authorized Agents

You may authorize an agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. We may require written proof of the agent's authorization and may verify your identity directly.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your right to opt out. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, provide a different level of quality, or suggest that you will receive a different price or quality because you exercised your opt-out right, in violation of Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.125.

Minors

We do not sell or share the personal information of consumers under the age of 16 without affirmative authorization, as required by CPRA Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.120(d).
