Our Commitment

Higher Resources (HR) is committed to ensuring that its digital properties — including www.higherresources.org and our iOS and Android mobile applications — are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that equal access to information and communications technology is a fundamental right. Accessibility is not a technical checkbox; it is a core value.

This statement is published in compliance with: Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), 42 U.S.C. §§ 12181–12189; the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 508 (29 U.S.C. § 794d); the California Unruh Civil Rights Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 51 et seq.); and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and 2.2, Level AA.

Standards We Target

  • Text alternatives (alt text) for all meaningful images
  • Captions and transcripts for video and audio content, where applicable
  • Keyboard navigability throughout the website and application

  • Sufficient color contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards

Known Limitations

We are aware that some areas of our Platform may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We are actively working to remediate identified issues. If you encounter a specific barrier, please contact us so we may assist you and prioritize remediation.

Third-Party Content

Certain third-party content embedded on our Platform — such as videos from external providers or social media widgets — may not fully comply with our accessibility standards. We continue to advocate with third-party providers for accessible design and will substitute accessible alternatives where feasible.

  • Regular automated and manual accessibility audits of our Platform
  • Integration of accessibility testing into our development process
